How You Can Help

Food Donations
We can always use non-perishable food.  Food donations can be brought to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church located at 25 Purdue Avenue in Oakland, NJ  07436, 7 days a week.  We do ask that you call the church offices at 201-337-7596 for weekend and evening food deliveries since the doors are locked after hours.  Our pantry shelves are now located inside the kitchen of Connors Hall adjacent to the church.

Frozen Turkeys and Hams are accepted during the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, but are not accepted during the rest of the year.

Please check the expiration date on all donated food items.
We do not accept items where the date is past due.

Financial Contributions
Since all the food we need for delivery to St. Mary's and HS/OLHC comes from parishioners only, food donations alone frequently do not fulfill the needs of the monthly distribution.  In some cases, it is more cost-effective for us to purchase particular items.  Therefore, it is necessary for us to have sources, such as your monetary donations, to cover these costs.

Volunteer
Barts Pantry is completely dependent on volunteers, and we are always looking for new people to join one of our teams.  We need volunteers willing to drive down to Newark and East Orange once every three months to assist in delivering the food donations.  If you are interested in joining one of our teams, please contact Joel Patron at [email protected].
