OLPH’s Music Ministry provides music for liturgies of all types, from Sunday Masses to seasonal liturgies to weddings and funerals.
Music has always been an integral part of Catholic worship; our tradition and history are richly steeped in it. The Bible frequently attests to the use of music in worship. For example, the Psalms in the Old Testament were originally sung. In the Book of Revelation in the New Testament, we get a glimpse of heavenly worship, where God’s throne is surrounded by angels, living creatures, and elders, all of whom are continually singing the praises of the Lamb, Jesus Christ.
Our music program is exercised under the direction of Michael Wada, who can be reached by phone at 201-337-7596, ext. 323 or by e-mail here.
