Bart’s Pantry

Friendly Neighbors is a ministry that strives to provide transportation and/or run errands for our neighbors in Oakland who occasionally need this type of assistance. Volunteers are needed to drive people to doctor’s appointments or for tests, or to nearby locations such as banks and food stores. Please call Kate Unger at 201-337-7595 ext. 313 to volunteer for this ministry or to request assistance from this ministry. Please give as much notice as possible when requesting a ride so that proper arrangements can be made.

Primetimers is an Outreach to the senior citizens in the community of Oakland. The group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the Oakland Senior Center, 20 Lawler Drive, between the hours of 11:00am and 1:00pm. This group is open to men and women over the age of 55 with a Christian background. We begin with a prayer service and short discussion period. Lunch is served and other activities are offered which vary from month to month. For more information, please contact Rose Burek at the Senior Center at 201-405-7731.

Funds for this charity are generated from a donation box located in our church vestibule. Proceeds are used to help local needy families.
